Ukraine is projected to increase its energy imports to $10.5 billion in 2025
In 2025, Ukraine imported fuel and energy products from 69 countries worth $10.5 billion, an increase of 18.3% compared to the previous year.
This is reported by analysts at DiXi Group.
Crude oil and petroleum products accounted for the largest share of imports—62.8%. Significant volumes also included petroleum gases (18.3%), coal (9.6%), and electricity (5.5%).
Among supplier countries, Ukraine directed the largest amount of funds to Poland—$1.9 billion. Next came Greece ($1 billion), the United States (8.8% of imports), Lithuania (8.3%), and Slovakia (7%).
At the same time, energy exports lagged significantly behind imports—Ukraine sold $491.1 million worth of energy resources to 92 countries.
Electricity became the main source of export revenue—57.6%. Oil and petroleum products also accounted for a significant share.
Ukraine received the largest export revenues from Slovakia (20.4%) and Moldova (19.9%), as well as Hungary, Belgium, and Poland.
As a reminder, utility workers restored heating to 1,100 buildings in a single day.
Klitschko also reported how many buildings in Kyiv are still without heat.
