In March, the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund received grant contributions from Iceland and Slovenia totaling 3.2 million euros.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
The ministry also noted that documents regarding new grants have been signed and additional contributions from international partners have been pledged.
Specifically, funding is expected from Canada in the amount of €12.5 million, from the European Commission—€10 million, from Denmark—€5.4 million, from Germany—€4.8 million, and from Croatia—€1.5 million.
The funds will be directed toward supporting and restoring Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
As a reminder, the International Monetary Fund, as part of a new financing program, has required Ukraine to adopt a package of tax reforms. The deadline for fulfilling these obligations is the end of March.
As a reminder, the International Monetary Fund’s Executive Board approved a new four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine worth $8.1 billion. The first tranche under the program is expected in the near future.
