Ledger analysis uncovers critical Android vulnerability in MediaTek chip smartphones
Analysts from Ledger have identified a vulnerability in Android smartphones equipped with MediaTek chips. If an attacker has physical access to the device, they can steal cryptocurrency wallet seed phrases in approximately 45 seconds, posing a significant threat to digital asset security.

The flaw stems from the hardware mechanism enabling rapid extraction of critical data from the device. Since seed phrases provide access to crypto wallets, their theft can result in total loss of users' funds.
