The dollar rose at the start of the week: exchange rates on September 21
On Monday, September 21, the average exchange rate for the dollar at Ukrainian banks rose by 5 kopecks to 45.01 hryvnia. At the same time, the U.S. currency can be sold for an average of 44.45 hryvnia.
Meanwhile, the average exchange rate of the euro against the hryvnia remained unchanged today at 51.79 hryvnia per euro. The euro can be sold today at a rate of 51.06 hryvnia per euro.
At currency exchange offices in Ukraine, the average price of the dollar this morning is 44.86 UAH/USD, and the dollar can be sold at a rate of 44.75 hryvnia. The cash euro exchange rate at currency exchange offices today is 52 UAH per euro, and the selling rate is 51.75 UAH per euro.
The National Bank set the official dollar-to-hryvnia exchange rate for September 21 at 44.67 hryvnias per dollar, meaning the Ukrainian currency depreciated by 1 kopeck compared to the previous rate. According to data on the regulator’s website, the hryvnia has strengthened again against the euro: the official exchange rate for the euro on Monday was set at 51.19 hryvnia per euro, meaning the hryvnia gained 5 kopecks.
Taras Lesovyi, Director of the Department of Financial Markets and Investment Activities at Globus Bank, reported that the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine will remain within the range of 44.4–44.8 hryvnia this week. At the same time, the euro exchange rate may remain somewhat more volatile due to the global euro/dollar exchange rate and is expected to range between 51.5 and 52.5 hryvnia.
