The EU will transfer another portion of the defense tranche to Ukraine in the coming days
The European Commission plans to transfer another portion of the first defense tranche to Ukraine in the coming days as part of the EU’s 90 billion euro loan program.
The European Commission emphasized that there are no delays in the payments. Experts are currently finalizing their review of the contracts provided by the Ukrainian side.
Last week, the EU already allocated 3.2 billion euros in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine and announced 3.9 billion euros in defense funding, which will be used, in particular, to purchase drones.
The European Commission noted that once the review of the documents is complete, another payment will be made as part of the defense package.
