Exchange Rates on May 11: How Much Are the Dollar, Euro, and Zloty Worth?

The National Bank of Ukraine has set new official exchange rates as of Monday morning, May 11, 2026.

According to the published data, major foreign currencies have appreciated against the national currency.

The regulator set the value of the U.S. dollar at 43.85 UAH, while the euro reached 51.59 UAH. The exchange rate for the Polish zloty was also adjusted and currently stands at 12.19 UAH per unit.

The situation in commercial banks remains dynamic, and the spread between buying and selling rates has widened slightly.

For example, at Oschadbank, the dollar is trading between 43.60 and 44.10 UAH, while PrivatBank offers a buying rate of 43.50 UAH and a selling rate of 44.10 UAH.

Financial experts attribute these changes to rising inflationary pressures within the country.

As a reminder, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine decided to keep the key policy rate at 15%.

This decision is aimed at stabilizing the market under martial law and curbing further growth in consumer prices.

Price pressure on the hryvnia has intensified due to the difficult situation in the energy sector following massive shelling.

In addition, the foreign exchange market is being affected by a sharp rise in fuel prices caused by instability in the Middle East and logistical difficulties.

Another key factor has been the impact of previous waves of hryvnia depreciation and the rapid rise in wages.

The regulator assures that if risks to the economy intensify, additional measures to curb inflation will be implemented.
