Exchange Rates for April 13: The Dollar and Euro Are Set to Rise Sharply

On Monday, April 13, the euro exchange rate at currency exchange offices rose by 20 kopecks at once, while the U.S. dollar confidently surpassed the 43.60 UAH mark.

Following the conclusion of the Easter holidays, the financial market has seen an upward trend in exchange rates in both the cash segment and banking mobile apps. 

As of the morning of April 13, the average dollar rate at exchange offices stood at 43.64 UAH, which is 9 kopecks higher than last Friday.

The European currency is showing even more active growth, reaching an average selling rate of 51.15 UAH. 

At the same time, currency exchange offices are buying euros from the public at a price of about 50.90 UAH, indicating a significant adjustment in market expectations.

Banks have also responded to market changes by setting new exchange rate benchmarks for their customers. 

In particular, the state-owned PrivatBank is selling dollars at branch counters at a rate of 43.65 UAH, while a rate of 43.66 UAH has been set for non-cash transactions.

At monobank, the price of the U.S. dollar is identical to PrivatBank’s cash rate—43.65 UAH—while the euro is offered to customers at 51.27 UAH. 

The highest rates are currently observed at Oschadbank, where the card-based dollar selling rate has reached 43.85 UAH.

As for the euro at Oschadbank, it can be purchased via the mobile app for 51.3 UAH. 

However, for card transactions, the bank has set a slightly higher rate—51.45 UAH—making purchases via the app more advantageous for users.

Pumb Bank offers the dollar in cash at 43.8 UAH, while purchasing currency via card will cost customers less—at 43.6 UAH. 

As of this morning, this financial institution is selling the euro at 51.2 UAH per unit.
