Debt after two years without income
According to the letter’s author, the debt arose from covering living expenses over two years when they had no source of income. The person’s situation has since changed, but the credit-card debt remains.
The author reported a monthly income of $8,000 and fixed expenses of $6,000 per month.

Additional payments
In addition to the main income, the person receives another $9,000 in payments related to a medical condition. They are approved monthly, and their continuation depends on further medical examinations, so these funds are not guaranteed.
The letter’s author asked whether these payments would be taken into account in the bankruptcy procedure or whether they should not be considered because of their temporary and non-guaranteed nature. The author also noted that action must be taken because of the significant amount of debt.
