Poland introduces reporting requirements for crypto transactions

The President of Poland has signed a law requiring crypto exchanges, exchangers, and wallet operators to report user transaction data to tax authorities. This is a significant move toward enhancing transparency in the crypto sector and combating tax evasion.

The new regulations implement the European directives DAC8 and DAC9, which establish automatic exchange of tax information between countries. This will enable more effective detection of undeclared income from crypto assets and facilitate the application of taxes, fines, and interest.

The law is expected to strengthen control over cryptocurrency operations and increase tax revenues for the state budget.
