Turkmenistan legalises cryptocurrency mining and exchanges
In Turkmenistan, President Berdymukhamedov signed a law legalising cryptocurrency mining and the operation of crypto exchanges. This step is aimed at fostering the country’s digital economy.

Now, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities registered with the Central Bank of Turkmenistan can mine digital currencies. Crypto exchanges and virtual asset service providers must obtain licenses to operate, and foreign nationals are permitted to be founders of these exchanges.
The new legislation is expected to stimulate investment and develop the blockchain sector in Turkmenistan, creating opportunities for international cooperation in digital assets.
