Ukraine received €2.9 billion under the Ukraine Facility program

Ukraine has received 2.9 billion euros as part of the Ukraine Facility program. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the receipt of the funds.

“I would like to thank European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the member states of the European Union for their decision to disburse 2.9 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, this is very timely support that will help ensure Ukraine’s macrofinancial stability and strengthen its defense capabilities.

“We are working together in full coordination to implement all agreements. I thank the European Union for its assistance and unwavering solidarity,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced that the funds will be used to strengthen the state’s financial stability and cover key expenditures.

“This is part of the funding already allocated under the Ukraine Facility, which became available thanks to Ukraine’s fulfillment of 10 indicators during the first and second quarters of 2026 and in previous years. These indicators relate to the banking sector, energy, agricultural policy, transportation, and other areas,” the statement reads.

Koretsky emphasized that three indicators were met ahead of schedule.

Given the challenging financial situation, these funds are critically important for the country’s stability, ensuring key expenditures, and enabling the government to allocate more of its own resources to defense.

At the same time, the need for funding remains critical. The government is expediting the adoption of all its decisions as much as possible. It is also working with parliament to pass the necessary bills as quickly as possible.
