Major crypto market cleanup begins in Thailand

Thailand has launched a large-scale cleanup of its cryptocurrency market — local platforms have frozen over 10,000 accounts suspected of money laundering. This operation is part of a broader campaign targeting so-called mule accounts—accounts used as intermediaries to transfer stolen or illicit funds.

The measures are aimed at increasing transparency and security in the country's crypto market by preventing illegal financial activities on digital platforms. Thai authorities and crypto companies have joined forces to strengthen oversight and identify suspicious accounts.

Further regulatory tightening of the cryptocurrency industry is expected soon, which will help protect users and ensure market stability.
