Magnetic Storms on August 3–4 and Solar Activity
Increased solar activity is expected on August 3–4, which may cause magnetic fluctuations in near-Earth space. Experts note that during magnetic storms, some people may experience fatigue, headaches, or changes in how they feel.
Geomagnetic activity is measured on a scale from 0 to 9. The planetary K-index is used for classification; a reading of 5 or higher indicates a strong magnetic storm.
On Monday, August 3, solar activity with a K-index of 4.3 (yellow level) is expected, which corresponds to moderate magnetic storms.
On Tuesday, August 4, solar activity with a K-index of 1.7 (green level) is expected, which corresponds to a weak magnetic storm.
It is important to note that magnetic storm forecasts are subject to change, as solar activity researchers update their data every three hours.
