Ukrzaliznytsia is launching its summer schedule: it will add 12 new routes and increase the number of trains to the Carpathians
Starting June 28, Ukrzaliznytsia will introduce a new summer train schedule. The company is adding new services, converting some routes to daily service, and improving connections to the Carpathian region.
In total, the summer schedule includes 12 new routes, eight trains will run daily, and three popular routes will be expedited.
One of the main changes will be the extension of the route for Train No. 1/2 “Yednist” (Kharkiv–Rakhiv). Its length will be 1,325 kilometers, making it the longest railway route in Ukraine.
Train No. 55/56 Kyiv–Rakhiv will also be moved to a daily schedule. Additionally, the schedule for Train No. 29/30 Kyiv–Uzhhorod “Sakura” will change.
The routes of trains No. 137/138 Kyiv–Yasinya and No. 141/142 Chernihiv–Yasinya will be extended to the mountain station of Yasinya instead of Ivano-Frankivsk.
New services will include the No. 83/84 Dnipro–Mukachevo night express, the No. 153/154 Dnipro–Odesa daytime train, the No. 157/158 Kyiv — Ivano-Frankivsk, train No. 209/210 Mykolaiv — Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as No. 229/230 Kharkiv — Kremenchuk.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that these changes were made possible by optimizing the use of existing rolling stock without increasing the number of cars.
Ticket sales for the new routes have already begun, though some routes may appear in the system gradually over the next 24 hours.
