Accenture shares rise 16% after quarterly report — CNBC

Shares of consulting company Accenture closed Thursday up nearly 16% after the publication of its results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. During the session, the stock rose by more than 22%, CNBC reports.

Results beat forecasts

Accenture's quarterly earnings were $3.29 per share on revenue of $18.68 billion. The LSEG consensus forecast called for earnings of $3.18 per share and revenue of $18.03 billion.

For the full fiscal 2026 year, the company's adjusted earnings reached $13.97 per share, up 8% from a year earlier. Revenue rose 6% to $74.2 billion.

New contracts and dividends

Accenture CEO Julie Sweet said artificial intelligence had become one of the key drivers of business growth. According to her, the company ended the year with $85 billion in new business carrying over into the next year. Accenture also reported a record volume of large client orders worth $100 million or more.

The company increased its quarterly dividend by 5% to $1.71 per share. The payment is scheduled for November 13. For fiscal 2027, Accenture forecasts revenue and adjusted earnings per share growth of 3–6% year over year.

Following the report, Stifel analysts reaffirmed their buy rating on Accenture shares and raised their price target from $225 to $242 per share. At the same time, despite Thursday's gains, the company's shares are still down more than 18% since the start of the year amid concerns that artificial intelligence could affect key segments of its business.
