Geniusto announced its acquisition and transition to the Turing Ultra brand

UA NEWS 21 August 2026 11:15
Geniusto announced its acquisition and transition to the Turing Ultra brand

Geniusto, a fintech company that develops software solutions for banks, payment companies, and other financial institutions, has informed its partners of the acquisition and the transition of its business to the Turing Ultra brand.

The completion of the deal is mentioned in a notice the company sent to its partners. According to Geniusto, the deal was finalized last week, after which the business will continue to operate as Turing Ultra (UK) Ltd.

The company emphasizes that the change in ownership should not affect its clients’ operations. The technology solutions will continue to function, and the same team will handle support.

At the same time, due to the change in the business structure, Geniusto’s counterparties will need to renegotiate their contracts with Turing Ultra. Since this process may take some time, the company has offered its partners temporary continuity agreements designed to ensure uninterrupted cooperation until new contracts are signed.

Public records confirm that the changes involving Geniusto took place in early August.

The Australian company Turing Ultra Pty Ltd, which is now listed as the operator of the company’s new website, has the ACN number 699 754 044. According to the Australian government registry ABN Lookup, the company became active on August 3, 2026.

On its own website, Turing Ultra describes itself as an Australian fintech company and offers the Ultra Digital Banking Suite—a platform for banks, EMIs, and payment providers that includes core banking, payments, customer onboarding, KYC/KYB, AML, compliance, and omnichannel banking services.

In fact, these are the very same key areas in which Geniusto previously specialized. The company offered the [GO] Suite and standalone solutions: [GO] Core Banking, [GO] Payment, [GO] Onboarding, and [GO] Omni-channel.

Furthermore, Turing Ultra explicitly states on its website that it uses historical product and customer materials transferred to the company. Some of the customer reviews that were previously published on the Geniusto website are now also featured on Turing Ultra’s resources as historical testimonials.

Geniusto has been placed under administration in the United Kingdom

Another significant development occurred almost simultaneously with the acquisition.

The British company Geniusto (UK) Ltd, with registration number 12991836, has gone into administration. On August 10, 2026, Peter Kubik and Paraskevi Iacovou of UHY Hacker Young LLP were appointed as the company’s administrators. The corresponding announcement was published on August 13.

Thus, the establishment of Turing Ultra, Geniusto’s placement under administration, and the notification to clients regarding the completion of the acquisition all took place within the span of a single week.

At the same time, the exact legal structure of the deal has not yet been publicly disclosed.

As of August 21, the UK’s Companies House also continues to list the company under number 12991836 under its former name, Geniusto (UK) Ltd. The legal entity was registered in the United Kingdom on November 2, 2020, and its primary activities are listed as software development and IT consulting.

Therefore, at this stage, the focus is primarily on the acquisition and transition of Geniusto’s business under the Turing Ultra brand, while the final corporate structure following the deal may still be taking shape.

What is known about Geniusto

On its website, the company traces its history back to 2001, when GCP was founded.

In 2020, following a merger and the raising of seed funding, the business was renamed Geniusto, and in 2021, the company announced a successful Series A funding round and the signing of new clients among European digital financial institutions.

In 2023, Geniusto launched Multi-Tenant Banking-as-a-Service; in 2024, it received ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications; and in 2025, it became a technology partner of SWIFT.

Following this latest agreement, this technology division will continue its operations under the Turing Ultra brand, and Geniusto’s clients are gradually being transitioned to new contractual arrangements with the new entity.
