The Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a new package of measures designed to support agricultural producers amid the blockade of maritime exports. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced this during a joint meeting with the President of Ukraine and representatives of the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, they discussed in detail measures to support the industry amid Russian aggression in the Black Sea, the prioritization of rail transport for certain types of agricultural products, the security of export routes, and ship insurance. The government plans to adopt all necessary decisions in the near future.
Previously, the government had already implemented a first package of urgent measures, including allocating an additional 6 billion hryvnias under the “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” program, reduced the minimum export prices for grains and oilseeds, and revised the NBU’s requirements for lending to farmers. At the same time, work is ongoing with international partners to expand alternative logistics routes.
