KSG Agro is investing 25 million hryvnia in the development of a pig farm in the Dnipropetrovsk region

The KSG Agro agricultural holding is allocating more than 25 million hryvnia to create an autonomous water supply system for a pig farm in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The project involves modernizing the pumping station and upgrading the infrastructure, which will enable the company to fully transition to water supplied from its own sources by the end of 2026.

KSG Agro is investing over 25 million hryvnia in the creation of an autonomous water supply system for one of its pig farms in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The company plans to complete the project by the end of 2026, which will enable the enterprise to fully transition to water supply from its own sources and reduce its dependence on external infrastructure.

The project includes the reconstruction and modernization of Pumping Station No. 10, which draws water from the “Dnipro–Kryvyi Rih” canal. Plans also include upgrading pipelines, installing new pumping equipment, and implementing automated metering systems and digital water distribution management.

The company notes that the modernization will ensure a stable water supply to production facilities, reduce water losses, and optimize operating costs. According to preliminary estimates, the investment could pay for itself within three to four years.

An important step in implementing the initiative was the creation of the “Niva” water users’ organization, which brought together 189 landowners and land users in the region. A land reclamation network covering 1,052 hectares—one of the largest in the Dnipropetrovsk region—has been transferred to its management.

The need to invest in its own water supply stems from high production demands. According to KSG Agro, the pig farm consumes about 20,000 cubic meters of water per month, so a reliable and independent water supply is critical for the enterprise’s uninterrupted operation.

KSG Agro is one of the largest pork producers in Ukraine and ranks among the top five in the industry. The agricultural holding operates under a vertically integrated model: in addition to pig farming, the company is engaged in the cultivation, storage, processing, and sale of grains and oilseeds.

The holding’s land bank in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions totals approximately 21,000 hectares. The company is also publicly traded—its shares are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, according to KSG Agro’s press service.

As a reminder, Ukraine has opened 23 new markets for agricultural exports in the past six months.
