Small businesses are not recommended to work with Stripe
Warnings have appeared on social media about using the American system for accepting and processing electronic payments Stripe. The system charges large fees for refunds.
«Do NOT do business with Stripe. They are the not small business friendly! After over years of doing business with them we had a typo in a credit card charge that was corrected in seconds. Stripe still charged me over $10,000 in refund fees. They would not negotiate or take any mitigating factors into consideration. I asked them to prove that they had actually paid out anything to the credit card company and they refused. There are many other, better, options out there for payment processors. », - said Jennifer Bohmann, a marketing consultant for the Bahamas Marinas Association, one of the system's users.
