In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 4.3 billion hryvnias in contracts for the repair of state highways were awarded without a competitive bidding process
Oleksandr Boiko’s company, “Avtomagistral-Pivden,” was awarded contracts worth 4.33 billion hryvnia to repair state highways in the Dnipropetrovsk region without a competitive bidding process.
The decision to award the contracts was made by the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Defense Council to ensure logistics, transportation, and evacuation. Since funds for this year have not yet been allocated, the financing for these contracts has been deferred to next year.
Analysts note that, in the absence of competition, “Avtomagistrali-Pivden’s” rates turned out to be approximately 10% higher than those for similar contracts won through open bidding in the Mykolaiv region by the company “Autostrada.” The overpayment resulting from higher material and delivery costs on these contracts, totaling 4.3 billion hryvnias, could amount to about half a billion hryvnias.
This was reported by the publication “Nashi Hroshi,” citing data from Prozorro.
At the Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater named after the brothers Yuriy-Augustin and Yevhen Sherehiy, work has begun on renovating the auditorium, where approximately 800 seats will be replaced and the lighting system will be upgraded at a cost of 3.2 million hryvnias. The auction on Prozorro took place without any competition.
As a reminder, an official at a Kyiv university overpaid 600,000 UAH for a projector for the theater.
Officials at the Territorial Center for Social Services in Kyiv’s Solomyanskyi District have been notified of suspicions of embezzlement of budget funds. According to the investigation, the municipal institution overpaid approximately 1.7 million hryvnias due to inflated prices for the purchase of diapers and care products for bedridden patients.
