The National Bank announced the hryvnia exchange rate for May 21
On May 21, the dollar will officially rise by 7 kopecks, and the euro by 1 kopeck.
This is according to data on the National Bank of Ukraine’s website.
The official exchange rates for Thursday, May 21, will be:
1 U.S. dollar – 44.22 UAH (44.15 UAH as of May 20);
1 euro - 51.30 UAH (51.29 UAH as of May 20).
On the morning of May 20, 2026, the Ukrainian currency market saw a shift in the euro’s dynamics and relative stability in the dollar’s exchange rate. Financial institutions and currency exchange offices updated their quotes, lowering the value of the euro.
