Paris Croissant nominates Kang Shin-bon for CEO position — Korea Herald
In South Korea, Paris Croissant, which operates the Paris Baguette bakery chain, has nominated former Samsung Electronics executive Kang Shin-bon as a candidate for the position of chief executive officer. He will officially take office after the board of directors approves his appointment, Korea Herald reports.
Experience in technology and e-commerce
Kang Shin-bon's career includes work in strategy, e-commerce and consumer services. He worked at Boston Consulting Group, eBay, Yogiyo and Samsung. At eBay, he was responsible for cross-border trade in the Asia-Pacific region and developed its international e-commerce business.
Later, Kang Shin-bon headed Delivery Hero Korea, the operator of the Yogiyo food delivery service. In this role, he reorganized the company's structure and operations and contributed to its growth.

Tasks at Paris Croissant
Most recently, Kang Shin-bon served as an executive vice president at Samsung and headed its direct-to-consumer sales center. At the company, he helped shift from traditional retail channels to direct customer engagement, using accumulated data for marketing and improving the customer experience.
Paris Croissant said it expects the new leader to strengthen competitiveness through customer- and market-oriented innovation. His tasks will also include business restructuring and finding new sources of growth.
