It has been revealed which professions have seen the largest salary increases

In August 2026, the highest median salaries in Ukraine were offered to sales managers—110,000 hryvnias—as well as to construction industry professionals. At the same time, employers were most often looking for salespeople, drivers, general laborers, loaders, and cooks. 

Plasterers ranked second in terms of income, with an offer of 80,000 hryvnias. Also among the top five highest-paying professions were facade workers and tilers, each earning 70,000 hryvnias, as well as bricklayers, who were offered 65,000 hryvnias. By comparison, in August 2022, long-haul truck drivers led the pack in terms of earnings, with an average of 40,000 hryvnias; however, over the past four years, construction specialists have taken the top spots.

In terms of the number of job postings, high-demand professions lead the way. There were 9,306 job openings for salespeople with a median salary of 24,200 hryvnias, and 8,331 openings for drivers with a salary of 40,000 hryvnias. The top five most in-demand professions also included general laborers with a salary of 30,000 hryvnias, loaders with an offer of 28,500 hryvnias, and cooks, who were offered 29,250 hryvnias. Over the past four years, demand for salespeople and cooks has more than doubled.

This is evidenced by the results of an analysis conducted by the OLX Robota platform.

As the heating season approaches in Ukraine, employers are increasingly seeking specialists whose work ensures the proper functioning of heating systems, electrical networks, ventilation systems, and generators. Demand for these professions rises as preparations for winter intensify.

In addition, the number of job openings available to students and young people under the age of 18 has increased in Ukraine. The highest number of job openings in June was recorded in the retail, sales, logistics, construction, and food service sectors.
