The government has allocated 220 million hryvnias for loans to farmers in 2026
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the program to support agricultural producers, allocating 220 million hryvnias to a special fund for the current year.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that 139 farms selected in 2025 are already receiving UAH 124.1 million for the development and diversification of production. Funding is synchronized with the start of the spring planting season, which began in 17 regions of the country, allowing farms to begin fieldwork on time.
A notable feature of this year’s season is the return to cultivation of over 15,000 hectares of land cleared through humanitarian demining in the Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions. In addition to direct lending, the government continues to provide grants for establishing orchards and greenhouses, compensation for the purchase of equipment, and support for farmers in frontline regions. The government has also simplified demining requirements for farmers and is developing agricultural insurance tools to minimize risks in the sector. Funds from the special fund will not only allow for the fulfillment of last year’s commitments but also open new avenues of support for agricultural enterprises.
