Diesel fuel prices have been falling in Ukraine for the second week in a row
On June 16, Ukrainian gas station chains continued to adjust fuel prices, with the largest decrease recorded in the diesel fuel segment. The average price of diesel nationwide decreased by 67 kopecks per liter and stands at 81.79 UAH/liter.
In the premium segment, the OKKO and WOG chains lowered the price of diesel by 1 UAH/liter to 84.90 UAH/liter. A similar decrease was recorded at UKRNAFTA (80.90 UAH/L), SOCAR (84.76 UAH/L), as well as at the BVS and U.GO networks and a number of regional operators.
The largest decrease in diesel prices occurred at the “Olas” network—down 3.90 UAH/liter, to 78.90 UAH/liter. Significant price reductions were also recorded at VostokGaz—down 2 UAH/liter (to 78.99 UAH/liter)—and Autotrans—down 2 UAH/liter (to 81.98 UAH/liter).
Changes in the gasoline market were less noticeable. The average price of A-95 fell by 15 kopecks/liter to 75.07 UAH/liter, while A-95+ dropped by 17 kopecks/liter to 79.10 UAH/liter.
The largest decrease in gasoline prices was recorded at the “Olas” chain—down 2.81 UAH/L, VostokGaz – down 2 UAH/liter, as well as UKRNAFTA, U.GO, and Dnipronafta – down 1 UAH/liter.
The downward trend in retail fuel prices, which began last week amid falling global prices, continues. Over the past month, prices have dropped by about 25% to $905 per ton, according to Enkorr.
As a reminder, over the past year, prices for meat and meat products in Ukraine have risen by up to 45% in some places. Beef remains the most expensive—its price continues to hover at record levels. Experts predict that by the end of winter, meat prices could rise by another 5–7%.
