Four Seasons launches cruise ship, Orient Express unveils yacht — Channel NewsAsia

Hotel group Four Seasons launched the cruise ship Four Seasons I in March, while Orient Express unveiled Corinthian — the world’s largest sailing yacht — in April. According to Singapore’s Channel NewsAsia, the new luxury vessels focus on space, privacy, personalized service and wellness offerings.

Four Seasons I and Corinthian

The 207-meter Four Seasons I is designed for 222 guests. It features 95 suites, 11 dining venues, four pools, a spa, a gym and a marina deck for water sports. The largest, Funnel Suite, spans four levels and has a small pool, gym, spa and panoramic glazing. In autumn, the ship will sail along the French and Italian Rivieras, and on November 8 it will depart on an eight-day transatlantic crossing. Prices for seven nights start at $31,000; only breakfast is included in the fare.

The 220-meter Corinthian can accommodate 110 passengers. On board are 54 sea-view suites, five restaurants, eight bars, a spa, beauty salon, two pools and a marina deck. In autumn, the yacht will offer itineraries lasting from three to seven nights around the Iberian Peninsula, as well as a 14-day crossing from Lisbon to Barbados. Under favorable conditions, Corinthian can sail using wind power alone. The cost of a three-day voyage starts at $19,500 on an all-inclusive basis.

Explora III and Seven Seas Prestige

Explora Journeys launched Explora III in July — the company’s third and largest vessel, measuring 268 meters in length. It has 461 ocean-view suites, including 109 penthouses and 39 residences, five heated pools, six main restaurants, sports courts and a wellness area. In August, the vessel departed from Barcelona for Northern Europe and Iceland. A transatlantic itinerary via Greenland and North America to the Caribbean is scheduled for October. Prices for seven-night cruises start at $4,340 per person.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is also preparing Seven Seas Prestige — the company’s first new generation of vessels in more than a decade. The liner, for about 800 guests, is expected to make its maiden voyage from Barcelona to Miami in December. It will have 411 suites, 11 dining venues, a sports and pool deck, as well as the largest spa and gym in the company’s fleet.
