Abdulrahman Haske joins APM ahead of Adamawa governor election
In Nigeria, according to Premium Times Nigeria, which published a press release from Abdulrahman Haske’s team, the businessman and politician announced on September 12 that he was leaving the All Progressives Party (APC) and joining the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). The press release stated that APM presented Haske as its candidate in the 2027 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State.

According to the press release, the event marking the switch was attended by party officials, community representatives, traditional leaders, youth and women’s groups, as well as supporters from all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
Haske said he chose APM because he considers it the most compelling platform for advancing a people-oriented development agenda. He said he intends to focus on agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare, citizens’ economic empowerment, security, and government accountability.

Statements by party representatives
APM National Chairman Yusuf Mamman Dantalle said that Haske’s political views align with the party’s progressive principles and its approach to people-centred governance. According to him, support for Haske is linked to his stated commitment to development, youth support, inclusive leadership, and social initiatives.
Adamawa State APM Chairman Badejo Bello described Haske as a politician who understands the challenges and development opportunities of the state. The event concluded with a call for unity among APM members and party supporters ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
