Donald Trump signs bill to release Jeffrey Epstein files

Initially, Trump and senior Republicans sought to prevent a congressional vote on the bill, but the president abruptly directed Republican lawmakers to support it, enabling swift approval. On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump took credit for the legislation’s passage and accused Democrats of using the issue to distract from their own successes.
It remains unclear how much material the Justice Department will ultimately make public. The release of these files could shed new light on Epstein’s case and the individuals connected to it.
