The Rada approved a bill on the regulation of state aid to businesses

The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 15437 in principle, which provides for amendments to the Law “On State Aid to Business Entities.”

The document is intended to strengthen the Antimonopoly Committee’s authority in the area of state aid to businesses, as well as to improve the monitoring of such aid and the assessment of its impact on competition.

Separately, the bill sets out rules for applying these provisions during martial law. It provides for special provisions for areas of active hostilities and temporarily occupied territories, as well as for the year following the end of hostilities or occupation.

The Verkhovna Rada noted that the new rules are intended to make state support for businesses more transparent and bring it into line with European approaches and Ukraine’s international obligations.
