Alona Shevtsova is likely to be removed from the NSDC— the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine— sanctions — journalist Liamets

Former co-owner of “Ibox Bank”, Alona Shevtsova, may soon be able to get out from under the sanctions imposed by NSDC. That is the opinion of journalist Serhiy Liamets, who commented on the case of MP Anna Skorokhod.

According to the expert, the example of Skorokhod’s case — in which she is suspected of corruption under NSDC's mechanism — showed Ukrainians how the system really works. Sanctions often become a tool of unfair business competition.

If it becomes possible to prove that RNBO was used improperly and corruptly, many businessmen and politicians would have the opportunity to come out from under sanctions, among them Alona Shevtsova.

“The opportunity to come out from under the sanction persecution would also be given to Alona Shevtsova (Ibox Bank), who got onto the list only in April 2025. Dozens of other entrepreneurs who became victims of the sanctions policy ‘in the name of Danylov’ (or whoever else there) would get their chance,” — believes the journalist.
