Burić believes Poland will struggle more without Lewandowski — Interia Sport
In Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Monday, the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland will play a Nations League match without their long-serving attacking leaders. Robert Lewandowski will miss the game due to a suspension for accumulating yellow cards, while Edin Džeko ended his national team career after the match against Sweden. As Interia Sport reports, goalkeeper Jasmin Burić believes the absence of the Polish forward will be more noticeable for his team.
Burić's assessment
Burić, who was born in Zenica and received Polish citizenship in 2017, said that the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team had been preparing for some time to play without Džeko. According to him, the team has promising forwards and will now cope better with Džeko's absence than Poland will without Lewandowski.

The goalkeeper also said that Džeko had effectively said goodbye to the national team after the World Cup. Burić noted that the team had already used tactical options without Džeko in matches in Warsaw and Bucharest and now plans to return to them. He estimated Bosnia and Herzegovina's chances of winning at 60%, and Poland's at 40%.
Forwards' statistics
Džeko made his Bosnia and Herzegovina national team debut on 2 June 2007 in a match against Turkey and scored a goal. His record for the national team stands at 152 matches and 73 goals. Lewandowski, according to the data cited by the outlet, has scored 92 goals in 170 matches for Poland. The Polish forward's absence is expected to be a one-off, as it is linked to a suspension.
