Judo athlete Daria Bilodid is resuming her athletic career and will compete in the U.S.
Daria Bilodid, bronze medalist at the 2020 Olympics, two-time world champion, and three-time European champion, is resuming her athletic career.
Ukraine’s most decorated female judoka is set to compete in the Open Continental Cup in the U.S., which will take place October 31–November 1 at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Florida. In the 57-kg weight class, where the Ukrainian plans to compete, 15 athletes will compete, with Ana Rosa of the Dominican Republic holding the highest ranking among them.
The 25-year-old athlete last stepped onto the tatami at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where she lost in the round of 16 to Japan’s Haruka Funakubi, who went on to win the bronze medal. In total, 143 athletes from 26 countries have confirmed their participation in the competition in Florida.
