Former renowned German Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher officially married his partner, Frenchman Étienne Busquet-Cassagne, during a private ceremony at the famous resort of Saint-Tropez.

The ceremony took place nearly two years after the race car driver publicly came out and openly declared his homosexuality.

The ceremony was attended by a small circle of close friends, colleagues from the racing world, and members of the newlyweds’ extended family.

Schumacher announced his relationship with his husband in July 2024, receiving strong public support at the time from his son David, as well as from many global celebrities.

His partner, Étienne Busquet-Cassagne, grew up in a conservative farming family and had previously built a political career within Marine Le Pen’s National Front, but left that sphere of activity even before his fateful meeting with his German partner.

Étienne Busquet-Cassagne emotionally shared unique photos from the wedding celebration on his Instagram page.

“Last weekend marked the beginning of the first chapter of our new life together in front of all those who love us. With a sense of pride and excitement, I said I choose you forever,” he wrote in a touching post.

Inspired by the couple’s recent romantic milestones, a new documentary series titled “Ralph and Étienne, We Say 'I Do,'" which will detail the story of their love across four episodes and feature exclusive footage from the wedding.

Ralf Schumacher is a renowned German race car driver and successful sports executive, as well as the younger brother of the legendary seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.

He began his career in motorsports with karting at the age of three, after which he rapidly progressed through the German Formula 3 series, Formula Nippon, and the prestigious All-Japan GT Championship.

The German joined the elite "Queen of Motorsport" before the start of the 1997 season and subsequently competed successfully for the Jordan, Williams, and Toyota teams.
