Kalinin failed to advance to the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Eastbourne

Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina, ranked 70th in the world, failed to advance to the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 grass-court tournament in Eastbourne, UK. 

In her second-round match, our athlete lost to American player McCartney Kessler, who is ranked 62nd in the WTA rankings.

The match lasted 1 hour and 39 minutes and ended with a score of 4-6, 3-6 in favor of the American player. This was the first head-to-head match between the two players in their careers, as they had never faced each other at the professional level before.

Throughout the match, the Ukrainian tried to impose her style of play but committed a significant number of errors on her own serves. 

In total, over the course of two sets, Kalinina recorded 2 aces but also committed 7 double faults and managed to convert only 2 break points.

Her American opponent demonstrated a much more consistent and confident performance on the grass court. 

Kessler recorded 3 aces, committed 4 unforced errors, and converted 5 break points, which secured her a comfortable lead.
