Mike Tyson named his favorite boxer
Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson admitted that his favorite boxer is the legendary Panamanian Roberto Durán, who won titles in four weight classes.
According to Tyson, it was Durán—not Muhammad Ali—who served as his main role model in his youth. Mike noted that they both grew up in poverty and the slums, which is why he identified with the Panamanian fighter and aspired to be like him.
Roberto Durán competed professionally from 1968 to 2001. Over his more than 30-year career, he fought 119 bouts, winning 103 (70 by knockout) and suffering 16 losses.
