Ghana explained retaining Queiroz as coach by results
In Ghana, Ghana Football Association Communications Director Henry Asante Twum defended the decision to keep 73-year-old Carlos Queiroz as head coach of the national team. He stated that results in football are more important than an entertaining style of play, MyJoyOnline reports.
Results are more important than style
Speaking on Asempa FM, Asante Twum stressed that teams are remembered primarily for their results. In his view, a 1-0 victory through defensive play and winning a trophy are better than attractive attacking football that ends in a 0-5 defeat.
The GFA representative noted that results always matter most. His statement came amid the association's decision to retain Queiroz as coach of Ghana's national team, known as the Black Stars.

Qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations
Queiroz took charge of the national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The team advanced from the group, but ended its campaign at the round of 32 after a 0-1 defeat to Colombia.
