Maphosa noted that due to the lack of water in the changing room, the team felt discomfort and its preparation for the match was incomplete. During halftime, containers of water were delivered to the changing room. PSL will conduct an inspection
PSL chief operating officer Ronnie Schloss said he had heard about the lack of water at Old Peter Mokaba for the first time and promised to conduct an inspection. He added that during the assessment of the venue's readiness to host matches, all conditions met the requirements.
Polokwane municipality sports manager Mantlako Sebaka said that the necessary services could not be provided by the city's water supply lines, rather than by the stadium's infrastructure. Journalists were unable to find a municipal representative for comment.
