VIDEO: A massive show was held in Madeira in honor of Ronaldo
A large-scale drone show was held on the Portuguese island of Madeira in honor of Cristiano Ronaldo after his final World Cup match.
A light show featuring hundreds of drones, created using artificial intelligence, took place over the archipelago. This was the way the footballer’s homeland chose to honor the legend of the Portuguese national team, for whom the Round of 16 match at the 2026 World Cup marked the final World Cup appearance of his career.
The day before, Ronaldo played the entire match against Spain, but Portugal lost 0–1 and was eliminated from the tournament.
Over the course of his World Cup career, the 41-year-old forward has played 27 matches, scoring 11 goals and recording two assists.
