CD Projekt Red targets The Witcher 4 release in 2028 — The Verge
Polish studio CD Projekt Red is targeting the release of the next main game in The Witcher series in 2028. Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski said this in a new video, The Verge writes.
Targeting 2028
Development of The Witcher 4 has been underway for several years. The studio previously showed footage from the upcoming game and has now named an approximate release window. At the same time, 2028 is a target timeframe rather than an announced exact release date.
CD Projekt Red is also preparing other projects in The Witcher universe. Before the release of The Witcher 4, the company plans to show the Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3.

Expansion and spin-off
The presentation of Songs of the Past is set to take place this week at Gamescom. The expansion is scheduled for release during 2027. It is also expected to be part of the Opening Night Live show, hosted by Geoff Keighley. The broadcast starts on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Separately, CD Projekt Red is developing a multiplayer spin-off set in The Witcher universe under the codename Project Siris. Earlier in August, the company confirmed layoffs of employees who had been working on this game.
