Google is expanding the capabilities of its Gemini Spark AI assistant

Google is expanding access to its new AI assistant, Gemini Spark, which helps users manage their email, calendar, and documents. However, only paid subscribers will be able to take full advantage of the service.

The company is gradually rolling out the new tool to more customers, but it is not yet launching a free version.

Google has begun making its personal AI assistant, Gemini Spark, more accessible to a wider range of users. The tool is designed to help people organize their work, analyze information, and complete daily tasks more quickly. However, Gemini Spark will not be available for free at this time. Only users with paid Google subscriptions will be able to use the service.

In the U.S., the new assistant will be available to users with a Google AI Pro subscription, which costs $20 per month. It will also be available to customers on the Google AI Ultra plan, which costs between $100 and $200 per month. Currently, the launch does not include users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria.

What Gemini Spark Can Do

Gemini Spark is powered by the Gemini 3.5 model and is tightly integrated with Google Workspace services. Users can access the assistant via the sidebar on a computer or through a dedicated menu item on mobile devices.

One of Spark’s key features is workday analysis. The assistant can review your email and calendar and then generate a list of tasks that require the most attention. Gemini Spark can also:

  • create draft replies to emails;
  • analyze long email threads;
  • help you quickly find the information you need;
  • create detailed reports in Google Docs based on emails and meeting notes.

For example, a user can ask the assistant to prepare a brief summary of a work meeting or help draft a response to an important email. Google expects Gemini Spark to become a tool that will help automate some everyday tasks and save time when working with large amounts of information.

So far, the company has not announced when exactly the new assistant will become available in more countries or whether it will be included in the free plan. This was reported by Engadget.

The Google Pixel 11a, which is not expected to be unveiled until early 2027, has already been almost completely leaked. Its technical specifications have appeared online, revealing several key upgrades—a new processor, a different modem, and a brighter display.

Experts from the British publication The Independent have compiled a ranking of the eight best Android-based smartphones that, in their opinion, are currently available to consumers.
