Hoto has unveiled a cordless soldering iron that heats up in three seconds
Hoto has unveiled its first soldering iron—the I-A06 Cordless Soldering Iron, part of the Snapbloq modular tool line. The device heats up to just over 200 °C in about three seconds, according to The Verge.
The soldering iron supports temperature control from 100 to 450 °C and allows users to set presets for quick switching between modes. In cordless mode, its maximum output power is 60 W. When connected to a power source, this can increase to 140 W.
The model has a built-in 2,000 mAh battery. Because of this, its body is thicker than that of the FixHub Smart Soldering Iron from iFixit and the Pinecil from Pine64. The ability to connect to a power source allows you to increase the soldering iron’s power compared to wireless mode.

The complete kit costs $99.99. It includes a C245 knife-shaped tip and additional tips, which can be used, among other things, for wood burning. The soldering iron itself, without the kit, sells for $79.99. The kit’s case features a fold-out stand for temporarily placing the tool with a hot tip.
Snapbloq is Hoto’s modular series, in which cases and tools can be stacked on top of each other and connected with magnets.
