Netflix considers integrating third-party streaming services into its app
Netflix has discussed the possibility of making third-party streaming services available in its own app. In particular, Peacock and Fox One were the subject of recent discussions, The Verge reports, citing The New York Times.
Possible format of cooperation
It is currently unknown what form such cooperation could take. Netflix could sell subscriptions to partner services or add their content to its app. According to The New York Times, Netflix is not currently planning to enter into any such agreement in the near future.
For Netflix, this would be a significant shift in approach. Amazon Prime Video and Roku have long sold subscriptions to competing services, while Netflix has so far only participated in bundle offers with other streaming services. YouTube, which The Verge calls Netflix's biggest competitor, is also set to include access to Peacock as part of a Premium subscription next year.

Partnership with TF1 in France
Netflix has already begun cooperating with third-party platforms in France. In June, the company added live TV channels and streaming content from local broadcaster TF1 to its app.
During a quarterly earnings call in July, Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters said the company was seeing “encouraging” results from its partnership with TF1. He added that Netflix would consider additional agreements if they benefit users, partners, and the company itself. The Verge contacted Netflix for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
