SpaceX launched 119 satellites into orbit, including some for the Polish military

As part of the Transporter-16 mission, the American company SpaceX successfully launched 119 payloads into space, including a radar system for the Polish Armed Forces.

The company announced this on social media.

The Falcon 9 launch vehicle lifted off on Monday, March 30, 2026, from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The rocket’s first stage landed on an unmanned platform 8.5 minutes after liftoff, while the upper stage delivered all payloads to low Earth orbit.

On board was the second of three satellites from the Polish-Finnish company ICEYE, ordered by the Polish Ministry of Defense as part of the MikroSAR program. The €202 million contract, signed in May 2025, aims to provide the Polish Army with independent reconnaissance capabilities. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology allows for the acquisition of clear images of the Earth’s surface at night and through dense clouds. Thus, Poland continues to expand its own space reconnaissance network for national security needs.

As a reminder, the American company SpaceX recently successfully launched the upgraded GPS III-SV09 navigation satellite on behalf of the U.S. Space Force.

We also reported that Elon Musk confirmed the full reusability of the new generation Starship spacecraft.
