Telegram has made its advanced message editor a paid feature

Telegram is testing a new feature for its advanced text editor, which is now a paid service for users.

This tool allows users to format messages using headings, quotes, and tables, as well as work with advanced Markdown formatting.

The advanced editor lets you create messages that are almost like full-fledged documents. It supports headings, quotes, code, formulas, bulleted and numbered lists, as well as collapsible text blocks. A similar mechanism is already used for the AI editor in Telegram.

In addition to text content, these messages support the addition of images, audio, geolocation, and emojis from the Telegram Premium collection.
 

In the messenger’s beta version, all users can open the editor, but a Premium subscription is required to send formatted messages. The feature will become available in upcoming updates.

The advanced editor will be yet another tool available exclusively to Telegram Premium subscribers—along with increased upload limits, exclusive stickers, no ads, and one-tap transcription of voice and video messages into text.

This feature was discovered by users of the messenger’s beta version.
