Jerusalem’s Har Hotzvim tech park renovated, expected to host over 25,000 workers — Jerusalem Post
In Jerusalem, Israel, the reconstruction of the Har Hotzvim technology park has been completed at a cost of 44 million Israeli shekels. The Jerusalem Development Authority and the city municipality said that the modernization of one of Jerusalem’s key technology hubs lasted more than six years.
As The Jerusalem Post reports, the project included upgrades to infrastructure and public spaces, as well as the installation of technological infrastructure for security systems. New roads and sidewalks were laid in the park, parking areas were improved, modern lighting was installed, and public spaces were renovated.
Expansion plans
According to the Jerusalem Development Authority, the site, covering about 450,000 square meters, is designed for approximately 15,000 people. The park is planned to be expanded to around 800,000 square meters in the future.

The authority forecasts that more than 25,000 employees of Israeli and international companies will work at the complex. The companies named include Intel, Mobileye, Medtronic, Medinol, Elbit Systems, Ophir Optronics, Alpha Tau, and Rafael. Rafael opened its campus in the park last year.
Renovated public areas
As part of the works, landscaped recreation areas and wooden decking were also arranged, the area around the central square was improved, and an underground waste collection system was installed instead of conventional containers. Food trucks are expected to begin operating in some parts of the park in the coming months.
Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said that investment in the park is an investment in employees, leading companies, and the city’s new generation of technology entrepreneurs. Jerusalem Development Authority CEO Tzachi Namir called investments in the tech park’s infrastructure an investment in companies, their employees, and the city’s ability to attract businesses and qualified specialists.
