At the LEAP 2026 exhibition in Saudi Arabia, the RoboNex robot was presented, developed to perform the functions of a cashier and service worker in restaurants and cafes. It interacts with visitors in real time, takes orders and offers recommendations, Asharq Al-Awsat reports, citing the Saudi Press Agency.

Working with orders

RoboNex can conduct sales transactions and process customer orders. The robot can also recommend additional items based on the products already in the shopper's cart.

When completing a purchase, the system can display specified discounts and promotional offers. The robot has been integrated with point-of-sale systems and electronic payment gateways.

Development in Saudi Arabia

The robot was developed in Saudi Arabia, from structural design and component engineering to controller programming, the creation of artificial intelligence algorithms and voice processing systems. Real-time customer interaction mechanisms were also developed for it.
