Microsoft to introduce limits on Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming
Microsoft's Xbox division will introduce monthly time limits for Game Pass subscribers' cloud gaming starting in November. Currently, service users have unlimited access to cloud gaming. After reaching the limit, players will be able to purchase additional hours.
Limits for different subscriptions
The most expensive Game Pass Ultimate plan, priced at $22.99 per month, will include 15 hours of cloud gaming. Game Pass Premium subscribers, which costs $14.99 per month, will receive 10 hours, while Game Pass Essential, priced at $9.99, will offer five hours of cloud gaming.
As CNBC Top News reports, Xbox explained the change by saying that the costs of providing cloud gaming are rising as the number of users and the duration of their gaming sessions increase. The company said the monthly limits should allow it to continue providing the service and invest in its reliability and performance.

Additional time and streaming
Microsoft did not specify the cost of additional cloud gaming hours. Users without a Game Pass subscription will also be able to buy time for cloud streaming of games they already own.
In July, Xbox said it would test ad-supported game streaming. According to Microsoft, only some Game Pass subscribers use cloud game streaming.
