In the US, a school replaced teachers with artificial intelligence: what the experiment proved

At Alpha School, a private school in Austin, Texas, fourth and fifth graders are taught using a model where artificial intelligence (AI) takes on the role of traditional teachers. Every morning for two hours, children study mathematics, reading, and science using AI software. Adults working at the school act as “guides,” receiving high salaries and providing individual support to students, which includes 30 minutes of personal communication per week.

Alpha School founder Mackenzie Price says this model lets kids learn at their own level and pace, which could be a big step forward in education. But the new system is getting some skepticism from traditional teachers, who think it hasn't been tested enough. Despite this, the school demonstrates high student performance on standardized tests, which has attracted the attention of officials, including the Minister of Education.
Tuition at Alpha School is high, but the administration recognizes it as necessary to ensure quality education. The AI education model in the US could serve as an example for other educational institutions and lead to further implementation of technology in education, which is particularly relevant in light of the expansion of artificial intelligence lessons in other countries, such as China.
