Xiaomi introduces autonomous robots at EV factory
Xiaomi has deployed new ideal workers — fully autonomous robots that operate for three hours without recharging at the self-tapping nut assembly station in their electric vehicle factory. Their operational accuracy reaches 90.2%.

These robots significantly enhance production efficiency, although 9.8% of the assembled parts are still classified as defective or “acceptable as is.” The implementation of such robots marks progress in automation, though human oversight remains essential.
Going forward, further improvements in these systems are expected to reduce defect rates and increase productivity at Xiaomi’s factories.
