A woman has joined a lawsuit against xAI over the alleged use of Grok
A woman identified in court documents as Jane Doe 4 has joined a lawsuit filed by three teenagers from Tennessee against Elon Musk’s company, xAI. The lawsuit alleges that the chatbot Grok may have played a role in the creation of child sexual abuse material, according to TechCrunch.
According to The Washington Post, the woman stated that her stepfather used Grok to manipulate a photograph taken when she was 11 years old. She claims that more than 7,000 explicit images of her were created in this way.
The woman also stated that her stepfather was found dead by suicide two days after law enforcement discovered these images during a search. She said that unrestricted access to such tools is spreading rapidly and turning everyday life into child sexual abuse.

Three teenagers who filed a lawsuit earlier accuse xAI, now part of SpaceX, of failing to implement basic safeguards. In their view, this allowed Grok to be used to generate explicit images of real people, including minors. The plaintiffs are seeking to have the case certified as a class-action lawsuit.
As TechCrunch notes, earlier this year, the X platform was flooded with millions of sexualized images generated by Grok. The publication reached out to xAI for comment.
